Danny Rossner, has been involved in film making for over thrity years in a variety of capacities, including producer, co-producer, line producer, sales agent and consultant. Mr. Rossner headed Production and Business Affairs at Telescene and at Cinevideo Plus and since 1995 has been the president of various Montreal based production companies including SR Productions and CineVent. Fluent in English and French, Mr. Rossner holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree, a diploma in Management and an MBA.

Among his impressive list of productions, are Genie award winners “Joshua Then and Now” and “Taming of the Demons”, and Emmy winner “War and Remembrance”. He has worked with international directors such as JF Richet, Philippe Muyl, Shimon Dotan, Dan Curtis, Ted Kotcheff, Larry Elikann, Michael Anderson, David Greene and Jules Dassin, and has dealt with top talent: Vincent Casell, Jason Biggs, Leslie Nielsen, Tracey Gold, Robert Mitchum, Richard Burton, Tatum O’Neil, Jean Reno, Jill Clayburgh and Tom Skerritt.

Films that Mr. Rossner has produced or co-produced include Sci-Fighters, a futuristic science fiction feature film; When Justice Fails with Jeff Fahey and Marlee Matlin; The Girl Next Door, a CBS Movie of the Week headlining Tracey Gold; The Ultimate Weapon with Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan) and the adventure drama Arthur Conan Doyle’s The Lost World starring Patrick Bergin and Jayne Heitmeyer. In 1999, Mr. Rossner was the Canadian Producer on the big budget science fiction action comedy “2001: A Space Travesty” starring Leslie Nielsen and in 2001 Mr. Rossner oversaw the final shooting days of the first feature directed by and starring Matt Dillon – City of Ghosts. In 2004 Mr. Rossner was the Cdn Co-producer on Guy-X a Cdn/Uk/Icelandic co-pro starring Jason Biggs and Natascha McEnlehoe. In 2005 Mr. Rossner was the Canadian Producer on the multi episode TV series based on the life of legendary Cdn Hero Dr. Norman Bethune. The series was shot in China and Canada and Mr. Rossner spent a month in China getting a first hand overview of the explosive Asian Market.

Mr. Rossner and his company Sandy Productions have also ventured into documentary projects including the international co-production Hot House winner of the 2007 Sundance Gand Jury Prize and 18 Windows.

Presently Mr. Rossner and his company Sandy Productions are developing, several low budget projects including AYNI which Mr. Rossner co-wrote and will direct. Mr. Rossner is still working as an Executive Producer/Supervising Producer and or Line Producer on various Montreal based projects. In the past 18 mths he has provided these services on Steak, Magique, Mesrine (Instint De Mort), A shoe at your Foot, Polytechnique, Les Doigts Croches and the just completed Funkytown.
